That’s where NetNewsWire is so helpful; this application is an RSS reader just like its parent Newsgator only for the iPhone. 8. AOL Instant Messenger - AIM for the iPhone is a great product, and works just the way you would expect it to. But it does have a drawback that tends to bug me. Unless the application is open, you don’t get alerted when you receive a message. I don’t know about you, but when I get a message I want to be notified instantly. With the iPhone it presents a problem because as of now you can only have one application open at a time.

9. Movies – The new Movies application allows you to search local theaters for show times, view movie details, and watch movie trailers. There isn’t much to complain about this app, it was designed well and pays close attention to detail. 10. Calendar – Number ten on my list goes to the Calendar application.
